Learning Minor Chords on the Electric Bass Guitar

In today’s video tip you’re going to learn how to play a minor chord which is based on the Dorian mode we looked at yesterday.

RECAP: The Dorian mode is a sub scale of the major scale which starts on the 2nd degree of the scale. In yesterday’s video we looked at an example done on the C major scale.

Chords aren’t always thought of as something you play on the bass guitar. However if you’re serious about becoming a well rounded player then you’ll want to know some chords and they’re a great thing to help you expand your understanding of musical theory on the instrument. For this lesson you’ll only be learning the one minor chord, also note that he is playing on a 5 string bass.
