Lesson #6 Beginner Finger Exercise on Bass Guitar
Alright, we’re cooking with fire now. If you’ve watched the first four lessons from Lane on Bass then you’re up to speed with everything you need to build a great foundation and start off on the right foot learning bass guitar. If you’ve skipped the first four lessons I really urge you go back and take the time to watch them and also grab a note book for you to use as a practice journal as well as for taking notes through bass guitar lessons in the future.
Today Lane on bass is going to show you your very first exercise. This is going to be simple but you’re going to be playing some notes. The key here is to get comfortable with how the frets and strings feel as well as plucking the strings on the bass. At this point some beginners have a tendency to want to rush off and speed ahead, but you’ve got to walk before you run my friend so just try and be patient and take things as they go. Spending a little more time on the front end when learning an instrument will pay big dividends later on.
